I guess we all knew this day was coming sooner or later, huh?

From Rick Pickett, graphic designer extraordinaire (he made all the flyers and websites on the show, including TWoP shoutouts and other freeze-frame Easter egg goodies!)

Television Without Pity's VM farewell thread (that quote just makes me sniffle)

Brilliant But Cancelled's obit... need we say more?

Another nice tribute to Veronica, young feminist hero. I'm glad the character will go down in pop culture history as a positive icon on the role model-ledger.

Farewell from the Chicago Trib TV critic

The AV Club weighs in

Pajiba manages to find the snark in the travesty

This photo credit is funny but sad. And I believe the guy in the picture stars in the show that will be on The CW on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Sniff.

Even the quasi-official affiliate (not network) blog The CW Source has a pretty nice eulogy up.

And finally, in conclusion:

So, savor every last second of the last two episodes. Every quip, every venetian blind shadow cast in the background, every Keith/Veronica moment, every Logan Echolls brooding puppy dog look, every everything. Because this is it kids.

WAAAAH!

Thanks for amassing all of this ....

WHAT was with the VM ads last night during the 7-9 (CT) spot? "Critics say...4 stars!" etc...during the GG and VM reruns starting at this season's beginning.
NOW the CW wants to milk it? Did anyone else see that?

I haven't been watching the CW since the VM finale. Really? So they're running reruns AND ads? Talk about rubbing salt in the wound...

Or I guess it could be interpreted as a sign of hope, since the CW technically has until June 15 to make an official, final decision -- but I can't do the roller coaster of emotions, we'll just see what happens...

yes, for real--i was floored. i usually want to find a sign of hope but can't take the roller coaster anymore either. if something good happens, i will just let myself be surprised.

(have to admit: i haven't quite made the full CW cut-out. i watched GG and VM because i still COULD but otherwise prime-time CW is dead to me. it's harder to cut-out the late-night syndicated re-reruns, sex and the city, will and grace, friends, etc...)

Yeah, well, I only consider the weeknight primetime lineup (8-10 p.m. Sunday through Friday) true CW content. Syndicated stuff, I think, doesn't generate numbers for the national network.

Also (and this is truly shameful), I've watched the abomination that is Smallville since the beginning (six long, regret-filled seasons ago), and since it is the show that just won't die, I can't quit now. Not unless they kill of Chloe Sullivan, though. Then it's GOODBYE CW FOREVER.
