It's official. It's so official. Ugh, it's not like I wasn't expecting it, but ouch.

Anyway, here're some interesting links I've wandered upon in my state of numbness (please add your own if you'd like):

How can I be this depressed over this? I guess it is the 'equal and opposite reaction' of how obsessed I have been with this show since I saw the second episode...suppose that's obvious. (I seriously want to cry but will have to leave my office to do so!)

I can't help but wonder about how quality storytelling has very little chance surviving on tv as long as tv production is a commercial venture (as I have no hope that it will ever change) and commanded by a(n antiquated) ratings system. Think about it like artwork -- the number of people who like it does not dictate its inherent value nor the value of its exhibition.

My only solice will be that I am just a chapter in to the new book on VM, Neptune Noir. It was just relased and is awesome.

I've been following this news all day, and I think I'm mostly disappointed (by the programming alternatives the CW has chosen to air this fall) and exhausted (by all the yo-yo-ing hopes and fears the fans have gone through these past few weeks).

But for now, I am going to will myself to feel gratitude to Rob, the cast and the crew for an amazing, memorable series, and even to Dawn Ostroff, for giving us three seasons when nearly any other network exec would almost surely have allowed us only half.

Yeah, intellectually I know that ... but the news still makes me want to blow up a bus.

METAPHORICALLY! I'm being hyperbolic, Homeland Security! That means I'm not really going to blow up a bus!

Yes, I feel like I will be tracking all the cast and crew members' next moves since we've come to love them all... And I think it's good to note that they did give the show a good fighting chance, although I wish there was more in the way of promotions earlier on (all those Extra Gum commercials... what's the point??) Ugh. But anyway...

I had no idea there was a new VM book... whoa. Could really be hit or miss but glad to know so far it's hit. :T
